I stopped by here for a tapas lunch on a Sunday and was very impressed. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are fairly large. The artichoke hearts were wonderfully fresh and tasty. The chorizo in red wine was possibly the best I have had and the calamari wasn’t bad either.
The service was a little slow but not enough to really be a bother. The only thing that wasn’t great was the wine selection. They could do with selling more by the glass. In the end I had a half bottle of a white Rioja, which was very good, but I would have liked more choice.
A good sized lunch for two people cost me about £25 with drinks. I think that was very reasonable indeed and I certainly will be going back.
A week later… I went back! This time the octopus, baby squid with chips, vegetarian pastries and some beautifully fresh clams and crab cocktail laws. The octopus (pulpo) could do without the coarse salt crystals in my opinion but everything else was good. The crab cocktail claws were probably my favourite.
